Darla is a native of South Louisiana and graduated from Nicholls State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1998. Through that experience, she developed a strong passion for women’s health and their healthcare needs. Darla then began teaching childbirth education classes and volunteering at Crossroads Pregnancy Resource Center. In her desire to further her education in women’s health, Darla received a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2009. She is recognized by the states of Texas and Louisiana as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and certified as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner by the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecological, and Neonatal Nurse Specialties. She is also a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health.
Darla is excited about her recent move to Austin and honored to be working with Renaissance Women’s Group.
